Today, with more than 200 wineries, and more Cabernet
Sauvignon grown in the appellation than in any county other
than Napa Valley, Paso Robles is recognized as one of the finest
winegrowing regions in the world. As Paso Robles has evolved,
so has J. Lohr's estate program, which now features more than
2,000 acres of sustainably certified Cabernet vines. From these
grapes, J. Lohr's Cabernet portfolio has grown to include the
renowned Hilltop Cabernet Sauvignon, and J. Lohr's pinnacle
Signature Cabernet Sauvignon—a coveted, limited-production
wine that was debuted for Jerry's 80th birthday. Made by
acclaimed Red Wines Winemaker Steve Peck—who was named
Winemaker of the Year by the San Luis Obispo County wine
industry in 2016—these wines are recognized as benchmarks,
showing that Paso Robles Cabernet can stand proudly alongside
the world's greatest wines.
