BELOW AND FACING PAGE: This house sits at the end of a long path through prairies with native trees and shrubs.
The homeowner wanted to extend and renovate the home. While the character remains classical, we departed from
the traditional cottage design and used a modern vocabulary to integrate the house into the site's sand dunes and
beach setting.
