Birdseye
RICHMOND, VT
Birdseye began in 1984 as a small building company rooted in the craft
of custom residential construction. The firm has since developed into an
employee-owned, award-winning architecture and building collaborative
that continues the pursuit of artistry in both design and building. Birdseye
employs skilled craftspeople, including architects, builders, wood workers,
metal workers and excavation machine operators who prioritize refinement
and creativity in each project. Bringing together innovation and tradition,
Birdseye aims to create unique homes that inspire.
Principal architect Brian Mac, FAIA, draws inspiration from a variety of
places: art, music, nature, architecture, and the collaborative process. He
encourages clients to both trust and challenge the team throughout each
phase of design and construction. This interaction fosters creativity and nets
authentic results.
Maintaining the highest standards of design for each project, the firm
practices a regionalist approach to each concept. Birdseye creates
contemporary expressions of architecture inspired by the vernacular
landscape. Every project is a continued effort of conceptual refinement.
Because each building is unique in context and client, the designs express
exclusive aspects that are drawn from a diverse set of circumstances,
ultimately connecting both the landscape and homeowner to a bespoke
design.
