"The quality of light
brought into spaces
is the key to our
architecture."
—Larry J. Wente
BELOW TOP: The kitchen takes advantage of long-distance views of the Housatonic Valley and includes shaker-style custom cherry
cabinets, granite and butcher-block counters, and high-end stainless steel appliances.
BELOW BOTTOM: The open plan is based on a four-by-four-foot module as well as proportions based on the golden section. The
main level includes the entry, living, dining, kitchen, sun room, study, and master bedroom suite. A contained vegetable and herb
garden is located between the two-car garage and the kitchen. The lower level includes three additional bedrooms, a ping-pong
room, and a bunk room for grandchildren.
