S. Barzin Architect

Founded by Shahin Barzin, S. Barzin Architect is an interdisciplinary and
design firm based in Rhode Island, USA. Shahin has both a modernist and
a preservationist sensibility. He explores new building technologies while
respecting historical detail. Shahin is also passionate about sustainable
design, incorporating geothermal systems, solar panels and other
innovations into his work. The firm's designs are noted for elegance and
practicality, and cover a wide range of residential and commercial products.
Shahin Barzin is also actively engaged in designing domestic and
international retail stores as well as designing and developing lines of
display furniture and fixtures.
S. Barzin Architect has been a recipient of different awards including the
"Preserve Rhode Island Historical Preservation Project Award" for the
restoration of Belcourt Mansion in Newport.
Shahin Barzin holds a bachelor's degree from Rhode Island School of Design
in both Architecture and Interior Architecture. He is also a member of the
American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is certified by the National Council
of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
