BELOW TOP: We created the dining space to accommodate a wide range of guests—up to 30 to be exact. The table can expand 10 feet
in both directions, making kids tables and extra seating obsolete on holidays. Intimate sitting areas appear on either side of the table, so
conversation spaces are always an option.
BELOW BOTTOM: The fireplace takes center stage here, with an eye-catching push and pull of brick work. It's nestled in the screened-
in porch on the north side of the home, which has heated floors. We lifted the fireplace so its geometrical patterns can be seen—and
appreciated—from any seat in the room.
