BELOW TOP: The island is made from a walnut tree that was on the home's site. We wanted to incorporate it into the design, and after
the tree dried, we saw how beautiful the heartwood was. Since the kitchen is the heart of the home, it seemed like the most fitting way
to repurpose the tree.
BELOW BOTTOM: A lake view appears in every room on the back of the house, including the master bathroom. Motorized drapery gives
the homeowners full privacy when necessary. Behind the tub, a dry-set marble wall has a noticeable vein that adds a diagonal element
to the space.
