"The opportunity latent in the
act of architecture is in finding
ways of building walls that
act more like bridges than
boundaries; it is to uncover
and explore the unrealized
connectivity between form and
environment through intensive
design research."
—Christopher Mercier
TOP: When the living room doors are completely open and you walk from the kitchen to the barbeque area to the poolside fire pit—traveling from the
interior, to a semi-covered space, to completely outside—you experience it as a single cohesive environment. That continuity is exactly what we wanted
to evoke.
BOTTOM: Even in the master bathroom, continuity is achieved through the use of natural stones and neutral tones that connect this space to the rest
of the house via similar colorways and materials.
