3 But I've always been drawn to the casual energy that the desert Southwest offers—and I love expanding beyond its stereotypical appeal to incorporate eclectic influences and uniquely customized elements that create an artistic blend of sophistication and comfort. What I'm most interested in, though, is the personalized inspiration that comes from each of my clients and the spaces they move in—whether it be a charming vacation casita, a sleek urban condo, or a sprawling desert estate. I started my own firm, Lori Carroll & Associates, in 2000, which gave me the opportunity to focus even more directly on designing welcoming environments that are filled with elements of intrigue and amazement. From our dynamic studio in the Tucson foothills, we offer residential, commercial, hospitality, and healthcare design services. Together with my team of designers, CAD specialists, project managers, and administrative personnel, we ensure that every project receives both extraordinary vision and unprecedented attention. Our reputation of excellence in providing the ultimate design experience is upheld every step of the way, and clients benefit from the skill, consistent perspective, and combined knowledge for which Lori Carroll & Associates is known. Bridging the gap between high design and practical living is very important to me, as is impeccable attention to detail and distinct thoughtfulness. Spaces should capture the imagination while honoring clients' needs and lifestyle. That said, I try not to limit myself to just one specific interior design style. I love to combine different elements to form my own signature look. For example, I might mix traditional with modern or rustic with contemporary. However, clean lines and striking details are hallmarks of my work. Of course, it goes without saying that there is also much inspiration to be had amidst my southern Arizona surroundings—from sublime blue skies to the rich palette of hues and natural textures that are all part of the native landscape's mystique. While enriching people's lives one space at a time is always the biggest reward, I've been honored to have received more than 125 local, national, and international awards throughout my career in the industry. Most recently, my team and I have accepted the 2017 International Design of the Year at the Designer Kitchen and Bath Awards; the Platinum Best in American Living Award at the 2017 National Association of Homebuilders Show; and the Best Bath at the 2017 National Kitchen & Bath Design Competition. With our uncompromising standards, simple yet elegant approach to design, and endless creative ideas, I'm so very proud of all that Lori Carroll & Associates has accomplished thus far and all that is still to come as we continue to leave an inspirational mark on Tucson and beyond.
