An award-winning interior designer, Debra May Himes
has served the residential and commercial design
fields since 1975 while also creating high-end, original
custom furniture. Recently named one of Arizona's top
interior designers, her diverse range of projects includes
hospitals, corporate buildings, law firms, and banks along
with model homes and custom homes. While her design
services encompass everything from space planning
to furniture and finish selection along with design
development drawings and project management, what
she is most passionate about is delivering unique ideas
and problem-solving solutions that are truly impactful and
personalized for her clients.
Signature to her aesthetic is the creation of striking
entrances and additional interior architectural details that
provide for dramatic focal points while making a statement
and setting the tone for the rest of the space. Materials
and furnishings are woven together in contrasting yet
complementary ways to add visual interest and intrigue.
It all serves to develop a significant wow factor—one that
has led her work to be described as elegant, livable, and
emotionally compelling.
Debra's drive for fresh and exceptional furniture inspired
her own furniture line, Jonathan David—named after her
two sons—which is designed and customized specifically
for her clients and other designers across the country.
Debra's accreditations and affilliations include ASID, IIDA,
LEED, AP, and NCIDQ certified.
