ABOVE: This casual family room is visible as you step into the gracious entry hall of a Georgian-style home. We set out to create a comfortable gathering place that is also
worthy of a first view. For the fabrics, we selected natural fibers with heavy-use potential that also exhibited elegance.
FACING PAGE: We chose a color palette representing the sea, sand, and sunset for a coastal home. The intention was to establish a space for easy living that would always
have a mood deserving of the impressive view. This space is central to the dining area and another seating area where a television is prominent. Because of this, the small
chairs are meant to move elsewhere as needed, and the club chairs swivel for flexibility.
PREVIOUS PAGE: In this intimate, classically appointed living room, I established a monochromatic color scheme to enhance the sense of spaciousness. Punctuation
of color—such as flowers—can be introduced throughout the year with any hue imaginable. The calmness of the space created an environment for the clients' quiet
moments, as well as for entertaining.
