BELOW TOP: The primary living space is more "within the roof " than any other, stepping up f rom the most private
sleeping spaces and collecting daylight and air f rom three sides, overseeing the long drive across the property. In the
shared warmth of the slate fireplace, this is a space for reading and weaving.
BOTTOM: Woven between limestone hearth and farmhouse, the south sunroom is also a gateway to both house and
site, at grade. Rustic stone underfoot precedes and exits the space, outdoors and undercover toward the river. Wood-
f ramed compositions—painted, simple, and lightly adorned—also form the north primary bedroom suite.
