Bathrooms
ABOVE TOP: Completely unrecognizable prior to its remodel, this bathroom has luxurious elements that give it spa-like appeal. Large-format tile flooring is warmed by
radiant heat below, and the custom mother-of-pearl mirrors sit above the soapstone countertop and vanity. A curbless shower in herringbone sea glass along with a glass
bathtub provide the homeowners with two options for relaxing after a long day. Lending a soft aqua color to the space, the Palladian blue paint color sets a peaceful tone.
ABOVE BOTTOM: I went with a country farmhouse aesthetic for the bathroom of an uptown shotgun house. Well suited to the space, design elements include the lone
item salvaged f rom the house, a clawfoot tub, accented by an Italian ceramic pendant; a hand-woven laundry basket f rom South America; sconces f rom Circa Lighting;
a vanity repurposed f rom an antique buffet; and a dentist cabinet f rom EtĂș Home, all showcased atop black-and-white encaustic tiles. I chose the glass-sided dentist's
cabinet in place of a traditional linen closet in order to maintain the room's airiness.
