BELOW TOP LEFT: With a midcentury vibe and less-than-ideal 1970s décor, this home was very specific to its original owner. However, its current family had lived in New
York City and Amsterdam and preferred clean, European design. We paired a large format terrazzo-style tile with Thermador appliances, modern white cabinets, and
built-in breakfast nook with a turquoise upholstered banquette. The classic tulip table's chic profile is highlighted by the large window behind it.
BELOW TOP RIGHT: A young legal professional had purchased a high-end luxury townhome that was monochromatic in grey and white—this contrasted with her colorful,
bohemian style. The kitchen was nicely appointed but needed a pop of color. Satin brass, pink, and white barstools do just that, making the space timeless and fun.
BELOW BOTTOM: We had just finished a complete renovation project with our clients when they called me to look at this townhome. It was a mish-mash of the worst of
everything '80s, but the Buffalo Bayou location in one of Houston's best neighborhoods made it irresistible. We were able to appeal to their midcentury preferences thanks
to the townhome's good bones. The seating nook and updated fireplace accented with Jonathan Adler pottery furthered the cool factor. There wasn't really room for a
breakfast table and extra seating, but a perpendicular dropdown island created an eat-in kitchen while still feeling spacious.
