ABOVE & FACING PAGE TOP: Past, present, and future all came together in the design of this residence. The homeowners had long considered upgrading the property to make
it their new home but were concerned with losing some of the history that the property held. In an effort to preserve that history, the home was rebuilt incorporating modern
building science construction details and upgraded amenities while staying true to the original design intent.. The modern expansion houses most of the home's public spaces
and f reely expresses the client's desire for a modern aesthetic. The new barn is a nod to the original structure that had passed long ago and blends the form of a traditional
monitor-style barn with the detailing and materials of a contemporary structure.
FACING PAGE BOTTOM & RIGHT: Creating a home that truly recognizes and complements our client's family and lifestyle is a major goal of this project, and every project we do.
These ideals apply to the aesthetic of the structure as well as the interior elements of the residence. The furnishings inside the home are a combination of new, custom-made
pieces, inherited heirloom items, and new furniture. There is a continuous thread of informal yet sophisticated aesthetics that flows throughout the interior of the home. The
custom pieces of the main living area and European kitchen provide a casual but clean feel which becomes more relaxed as one moves into the private spaces.
