This biophilic home creates sanctuary from our complex world and the demanding
professions of the two owners. When discovering their undeveloped property, they
envisioned their dream of unobstructed water views, mountains in the distance, the
promise of sunsets, all while surrounded by evergreens.
The challenge of positioning interior spaces to connect with the healing environment
and capture the comfort of the enfolding forest became their focus. Windows would
become the frames of nature's ever-changing art — spatial volumes to welcome
natural light and colorful sunsets, blurring the lines between the indoors and out.
The design of their home allows this professional couple to seamlessly pursue
their chosen career paths by purposefully creating at-home workspaces. To further
support their healthy lifestyle, a gym also shares the views and natural light that
encourages the overall wellbeing of this family. This home was designed to nourish
daily life in the arms of mother nature.
