Food, Fun and Fabulous 140
Go to your local farmers' markets and load
up on baby pumpkins, large pumpkins, gourds,
and squash. I love to make seasonal displays
on my sideboard. When leaves start to turn,
I enjoy picking some branches to add to my
design. Fresh fruits such as pears and apples
can be added as well. Layering your display is
always important to give it more interest. Use
rustic pieces like copper, wood, or pottery to
add texture to the presentation.
I love Grammercy Tavern in New York, which
always has a fantastic seasonal floral display—
by the talented Roberta Bendavid—that sets
the perfect tone.
