Holiday Milk Punch
1 ½ ounces good bourbon or brandy
2 ounces half-and-half
1 teaspoon superfine sugar
drop of vanilla extract
ice cubes
freshly grated nutmeg
Combine bourbon, half-and-half, sugar, and vanilla
in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake thoroughly until
mixture is cold and frothy. Strain into a highball
glass filled with ice. Top with a grating of nutmeg.
Fruit-infused Cocktails
a fifth Smirnoff vanilla-flavored vodka
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 cups of fresh pineapple, diced
Infused vodkas make a festive and colorful display on the
bar. Guests can choose their favorite flavor and then you can
shake it in an ice-filled martini shaker, strain, and serve.
Make a simple syrup by boiling water and sugar.
Take a fifth of vanilla-flavored vodka and pour in
a sterilized jar. Add 2 cups diced fresh pineapple,
and simple syrup.
