ABOVE AND FACING PAGE TOP: The 9,000-square-foot modern residence
features an exterior rainscreen design to promote an indoor environment
that is virtually allergen-free. An abundance of windows allows natural
light to flood the custom home, which features a gourmet kitchen, home
theater, stunning master suite, a custom 1,000-gallon saltwater aquarium,
and an attached koi pond with a viewing portal from the lower level
fitness room.

FACING PAGE BOTTOM: A major renovation corrected the disconnected
feeling of the original pinwheel design. Dark and dated interiors were
replaced with light and modern elements, such as the wide-plank oak
flooring with its contrasting walnut button detail. Alternating floor heights
were leveled to allow a natural flow between the kitchen and dining room.

The 1929 stone and Tudor-framed home was purchased
by a developer. The homeowner had his team remove the tile roof,
salvage and clean the tiles, repair the sagging structure beneath, and
meticulously reinstall each tile with a mix of existing and reclaimed
tiles. Roof tiles were sourced from across the United States to create a
cohesive transition between the old and new. The home now features a
four-car garage with in-law suite above, two-story guest house, theater,
gym, family courtyard, outdoor kitchen, and pool.
