Quintessential to Washington's young wine country, Waterbrook Winery was founded in 1984 and
was the fourth bonded winery in Walla Walla's now-thriving wine community. As one of the anchors in
Washington's agricultural phenomenon, the winery has maintained a position of leadership among its
peers for over two decades. Primarily recognized for producing affordable wines of Columbia Valley
class, the winery has created a multitude of 90-plus point vintages according to Wine Spectator,
and twice as many have been deemed a best buy by Wine Enthusiast. Selections from four tiers of
wines—value, mélange, reserve, and Meritage—have received amorous attention from the media,
connoisseurs, and everyday consumers.
According to experts, superior fruit is the foundation of all good wine. Waterbrook uses grapes
harvested from Columbia Valley as critical building blocks for creating well-rounded wines of dynamic
nature. After harvest, grapes are left to the winemaker for complete transformation into a luscious
vintage.
Born in San Francisco and raised in Napa Valley, John Freeman was immersed in a culture of fine
wine from a young age. As a resident of California's famed wine country, John began his career in his
