I N T E R I O R D E S I G N 181 BELOW: A waterfall cascades from the trellis by the pool. Light illuminates the stone features in the grotto-like area and reflects in the water below. A bronze sculptural bench serves as both a resting place and a work of art. FACING PAGE TOP: The front of the home is adorned with iron railings crafted by a local ironsmith. Long lines reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright's prairie style play a prominent role in the overall design, especially in the broad overhanging rooflines. Just inside, a bronze sculpture by local artist Julie Speidel greets guests as they enter the foyer. FACING PAGE BOTTOM: The home's round staircase forms a turret-like element in the contemporary home with rectilinear windows reminiscent of a prairie style home. Floor- to-ceiling windows in the great room help merge the interiors with the exteriors, where captivating views and the sparkling pool await. Photographs by Michael Walmsley Photography "An artist's passion toward light or use of material is inspiring and encourages us to renew our energy and expand our interpretation of art, history, architecture, and design." –Dana Foster
