C U STO M B U I L D E R 64 ABOVE: Heavy timber and a clear tongue-and-groove cedar ceiling bring warmth to the Asian-inspired living room. A large see-through fireplace lends a view to the hot tub, situated just outside. River rock hugs the bottom of the walls, further incorporating nature and adding to the West Coast feel. LEFT: The outdoor patio was designed to reflect the indoor space, making it a natural extension of the indoor living room. Warm, comfortable, and certainly inviting, the space was created by transforming the pre-existing covered patio into a formal outdoor sitting area. Surrounded by the warmth of cedar and one of the many see-through fireplaces, the sitting area allows for endless warm hours of outdoor entertaining. FACING PAGE TOP: While revitalizing the outdoor space to blend seamlessly with the West Coast design, the firm added 2,000 square feet of composite decking with built-in planters and seating throughout. The see-through fireplace, three fire tables, a hot tub, pool, and waterfalls, as well as an outdoor kitchen, dining area, and covered outdoor living space complete with a television make the backyard a spacious and multifunctional oasis. Water misters were added along the deck and can be controlled directly from a smartphone on warmer days. FACING PAGE BOTTOM: The three custom-built fire tables create stunning focal points against the breathtaking views of the valley below. Each table functions as a table top and features a flame floating on top of a river rock bed. Built of composite side walls and a natural quartz top, the tables also include a stainless grill top built for flame grilling while sitting around the fire. Photographs by Revival Art Studio
