BELOW: Octagonal tiles that start in the master bedroom's
fireplace surround above cascades over the wall to accent the
vaulted ceiling. Fully-integrated kitchen and dining spaces
provide ample entertainment and serving options within the
limited space. A long table extends from the island and seats
10 to 12. An antique porcelain chandelier, custom cabinetry,
and wallpaper with a metallic sheen add sophistication.
FACING PAGE TOP: An open floorplan greets guests as they
enter the contemporary home. A little bit of glam in the dining
space and veneered laminate on the ceiling exude modern
elegance with functionality. Stainless appliances and an
adjacent TV room just off the kitchen make the space flexible
for everyday life.
FACING PAGE BOTTOM: The wood-burning fireplace in the
home built in the 1980s was refaced in custom concrete to
bring it into the 21st century. The owner's original painting
stretches across the back wall, paying homage to Hollywood
and family with its depiction of the wedding scene in "The
Godfather." Other elements, like the Buddha carving
salvaged from a restaurant that burned down and a metal
chair made from recycled airplane materials pepper the
space with originality.

as much as their
