Red Mountain has produced many celebrated wines, and this
Malbec has joined their ranks. Full-bodied with flavors of black
cherry, pepper, and chocolate, the wine features great structure
with soft tannins and balanced acidity. Oak contributes subtle
vanilla notes and a great mouthfeel.
winemaker's insight
Malbec is especially well-suited for the soils of Red Mountain,
benefitting from the unique minerality contained in Warren loam.
The diurnal shift—high daytime temperatures and cool evening
temperatures—and long growing season allows the fruit to fully
ripen and gain perfect balance. This wine is fermented in large
format oak roller barrels, which contributes to soft tannins and a
complex finish.
