Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Barbera, Dolcetto, Grenache,
and Cabernet Franc. Presently, Tsillan Cellars is entirely an estate
winery, using only fruit from its lush, unique vineyards. Critics and
connoisseurs have taken notice—several bottlings have received
Gold and Double Gold Medals from competitions, including the
Indy International Wine Competition, the Seattle Wine Awards,
the Wine Press NW Platinum Judging, and the Cascadia Wine
Competition. In all, the winery has amassed over 400 gold and
platinum awards, but it is the people as well as the exceptional
wine that brings guests back to Tsillan Cellars time and again.
Dr. Jankelson will introduce himself as Bob when he runs into you
at the winery, and is always ready to chat about his philosophy and
vision for winemaking. A self-professed "romantic," he embraces
the small things in life and cherishes interactions with visitors.
General Manager Dave Moore ensures everything runs in tip-top
shape, and coordinates all aspects of the hospitality operations.
Ray Sandidge, head winemaker, has more than 30 years of
winemaking experience to his name in Europe and North America,
and is assisted by Devon Griffith. Together, the pair ensures
the winemaking process remains consistent and exceptional.
