Signature Wines and Wineries of Washington
American Viticultural Areas (AVAs). With each vintage, Hails
and team select each vineyard site, refining the winery's oak
program and cellar techniques to gift the wines with nuance,
texture and complexity that enthusiasts and critics have come
to appreciate.
As guests travel to the historic Woodinville tasting room,
they're immediately struck by the spectacular, Modern-
Victorian building. White wood paneling, decorative shingles
and handsome black trim make up the façade. Vaulted eaves,
eye-catching balconies, and rows of shining window panes
bring the stately building together. The inviting outdoors and
the friendly team within welcome visitors into the elegant
tasting room. Striking copper pieces are woven throughout the
space, melding with natural wood and concrete elements.
Certified Sommelier and Wine Educator, Shelly Fitzgerald
hosts educational tastings and offers captivating insights on
the Washington State wine industry. She also teaches a variety
of classes for anyone curious to learn more, regardless of their
level of wine knowledge. From the "Wine Foundations" class,
which highlights major growing regions and important grape
varietals to "Exploring What's in the Glass," where you learn
how to evaluate wine like a sommelier, the experiences are fun
and fulfilling.
