This Syrah shows vivid aromas of blueberry, dark chocolate, and
accents of cherry on the nose. Definite nuances of orange peel,
rose petal, and lavender bring brightness and finesse to this
wine. Warm, subtle oak tones along with savory hints of bacon
create more intensity and depth on the bouquet. The round and
pleasant mouthfeel delivers dark berry fruits, great acidity, and
mature tannins.
winemaker's insight
This wine is crafted from Block 8 at our Double River Estate
Vineyard. With a modest and hands-off approach in the cellar—
respecting the fruit and terroir—we give this wine the freedom
to develop its own distinct identity. It is slowly fermented in small
batches, then aged in French oak for about 18 months.
