Our premier red blend, Trutina offers aromas of ripe blackberry
and dark chocolate that lead to complex layers of rich cocoa
powder, brandied cherries and a hint of cola. Lush, well-
integrated tannins weave seamlessly with the balanced acidity
providing a lengthy finish. A sure-fire crowd pleaser!
winemaker's insight
Trutina means "balance" in Latin, and this is what we strive
for each time we blend the noble Bordeaux varietals. When
working with multiple lots, we have the opportunity to feature
an array of varietal characters that offer a spectrum of different
flavors, acidity, and tannin profiles. The art is finding a balance
between tart fruit to sweet ripe fruit, and a lively amount of acid
to accommodate the tannins. In the end, we want to leave you
wanting more of this distinctive wine.
