The expressive aroma shows prominent hints of leather, cedar,
and black currant. As this wine breathes, you will be rewarded
with noticeable nuances of violets, fruitcake, dark chocolate,
and dried sage. Ripe, dark fruit flavors are very noticeable in
the mouthfeel, where notes of cherry and blackberry marry
beautifully with ample tannin and warm oak tones.
winemaker's insight
Our Merriment is comprised of our best vineyard blocks from a
specific vintage. The most balanced and elegant barrels from
these lots gets selected for this Bordeaux-style blend. Only the
best French oak is used for these specific blocks and it matures
for about 20 months in barrel. The unique terroir of each of these
vineyards bring its own identity to this wine.
