ABOVE: The home's vertical form nestles comfortably into the
grove of majestic firs. The V-shaped roof rises toward the
river, allowing views to hillside beyond. The large outdoor
deck provides ample entertainment space when the weather
is nice, and the locally sourced natural cedar siding add to
the home's Pacific Northwest feel.
LEFT: The free-standing fireplace separates the living and
dining rooms, and its hand-polished plaster finish blends
beautifully with the exposed concrete and natural fir beams.
The juxtaposition of cool-toned concrete and warm wood is a
recurring theme in DECA's work.
